Most of these pieces were created for FAO Schwarz. A few for Toys R Us. In each case a world was created around each product. The idea is not so much to sell a toy, but to sell an experience. After all, you could buy the toys almost anywhere. The experience was unique to the store and was always more memorable than the merchandise. The store has been closed for years, yet people still look for it.
Frequently, your success results from your staff. My "staff" was Becky Postic. Many, if not most of the projects pictured above wouldn't have been finished to such a high level of quality without her talents and skill. Some would never have been finished at all. Becky now lives and works in the Minneapolis/St. Paul region. To contact Becky click on her name.
